"It's Maggie's call," Eva added.

Maggie looked angry.

"Maggie, what is your surname?" Eva asked. "It's probably better for Althea to take ehr foot out of her mouth and address him by that... or as Michael."

"Harper...son and daughter of Lord Harper..." Maggie blushed, embarrassed.

"Oh dear. Is it Lord Harper for Michael as well then?" asked Althea.

Michael glared at Maggie and blushed. "Only when my father passes..."

"Mister Harper it is then," Althea decided. "I probably should have curtsied."

Michael whacked Maggie on the back of the head. "You can't keep your big mouth shut can you?!"

Eva whacked Michael aroudn the head hard.

Michael caught Eva's wrist. "Stay out of this."

Michael sharply let go of her wrist and left without another word.

Eva was fuming. You never hit a girl.

Maggie sighed. "It didn't hurt, Evangeline..."
