Passing Out

Jeremiah was alone in the room doing an experiment, electrolysis. He needed to get this last bit done and then he could go back to the room and see Tom.

He was watching the anode and cathode, writing down detailed observations, when he started to feel his lungs tightening. He started to cough and his hand went to his pocket.

D*mn.

His inhaler wasn't there.

As he continued to cough and wheeze, he moved, trying to get outside, but he stumbled, hitting his head on the floor, falling unconscious.

Evangeline had chemistry next thing, and she got to the room early. You know - make a good impression. She was hopeful that it would be okay - chemistry at ehr old school had been good, but it had normally set off her asthma. She ahd her inhaler in ehr pokcet, just in case.

Jeremiah was still unconcious on the floor.

Evangeline was looking around, btu tripped over soemthing. She looked down. It was a person!

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!

after jumping a mile in the air, she realised he wasn't dead.

Jeremiah was completely still, his breath slightly jagged and wheezing. His electrolysis expereiment was still up on the desl.

Evangeline rolled him into the recovery position and chewed her lip. Did she leave him to go get the nruse?

As he was moved, a slip of paper fell out of his pocket to the floor. On it was a name. Tom Marlow.

Evangeline slipped the paper bakc into his pocket at carefully as she could.

"Hello, can you hear me?" she asked.

No reaction.

Evangeline picked up the phone on the wall, looking at it in confusion. Was there a way to dial for the nruse quickly? Was there an operator?

Jeremiah's mind was black. he started to be aware of noises.

Evangeline wondered if the boy had a mobile phone, and the number for this Tom.

There was a buldge in Jeremiah's pocket where his phone was.

Evangeline carefully got it out, and looked at the numbers.

Tom's wasn't there but Chelsea's was.

Evangeline shrugged, and called Chelsea. Mayeb she would know what to do.

Chelsea picked up almost immeadiately. "Chelsea here."

"Hi, this si going to sound kind of odd but the person whose mobile this is has passed out, and i found him. Uh... yeah. Could you maybe get the nurse or something?"

Chelsea's eyes widened. She was with Tom and looked at him worried, "Of course. His name is Jeremiah. What is his breathing like?"

"Kind of ragged. It sounds like he had an asthma attack to me."

Tom blinked at Chelsea.

"Jerry iss unconscious, might have had an asthma attack," Chelsea told Tom.

"It is possible..." she said into the phone, "Where are you? I will come over and help."

"Lab six, i think," Evangeline said.

"I am on my way over," Chelsea said gently, standing up.

"Thanks," Evangline said, and hung up.
