I'm fine, really

"Are you eating?"

Maria tried to curl into a ball, not answering.

"Does Eddy know?" Virgil asked gently.

Maria shook her head slightly, and curled tighther.

Virgil nodded, and then went to the side and got a chocolate bar. “At least please eat this, and get some energy into you.”

"I can't" Maria said weakly.

"Why not?" Virgil asked gently.

"I... I'll.. I just can't!"

"Why not?" he asked again, "Will you be sick or something?"

Maria stiffened, then slowly nodded.

Virgil nodded, "Okay...can you have drinks without being sick? soup?"

"Drinks normally. Don't know about soup I... I was too scared to try" She whispered the last bit quietly

Virgil nodded, "I understand. Shall I make you some hot chocolate? it will give you some energy."

Maria nodded weakly.

Virgil moved away to the side, getting his kettle and fililng it, putting it on.

Onec again Maria tried to sit up, and managed this time. "Please..please don't tell anyone. Exsecially...exspecially not Edward"

Virgil sighed, "Okay...let us make a deal. You let me help you and tell me what is wrong, and I will not tell anyone, unless I think that it is getting dangerous and relly out of hand. Okay?"

Maria nodded, too weak to argue.

Virgil made the hot chocolate in a mug and then carried it over to Maria, holding it out to her.

Maria took it, and just held close to her, trying to think how to explain.

Virgil sat down on the edge of his bed, watching her.

"I.. I just." Maria sighed. "Whenever I looked at food, I just feel ill. Eating... Eating more then once at day makes me sick. Sometimes not even once a day. I... I don't know why." She began to shiver.

Virgil nodded, "Have you gone to see the nurse?"

Maria shook her head. "They might tell my parents"

Virgil sighed softly, "How old are you?"
