I'm fine, really

Maria looked at the door for a second, then slowly knocked. She was looking for Edward, who, although she didn't know, was down at the range practising for next time he went with Virgil.

Virgil opened the door and smiled when he saw a girl there.

"Hello, may I help you?"

"Um, is my brother, Edward here" She asked, slightly weakly.

"No, I am sorry, he went out about half an hour ago. Maria is it? Do you feel okay? You do not look too good."

"I'm fine." She said looking slightly uncomfortable. "Well if he isn't here..." She turned to go

Virgil took her arm, stopping her, looking into her eyes, "Are you sure, you look faint. I think you should sit down and have a drink."

"I'm fine, really" She was now swaying dangerously fom side to side

"I think I should call Eddy," Virgil frowned, hand still on Maria's arm.

"NO!" She said sternly, and tried to get her arm free.

Virgil kept his hand there, getting his phone out with his other hand, flipping it open. "Come in, sit down for a bit and have a drink, or I will call Edward and get him to make you do so," he said calmly.

Maria struggled a bit, then stopped, and nodded weakly. She began to walk in, but suddenly collasped into Virgil.

Virgil slipped his phone back into his pocket and picked her up easily, carrying her into the room.

Maria moaned slightly, but was pratically unconcious.

Virgil lay her gently down on his bed.

Maria was breathing heavily.

Virgil opened her airways to make sure she could breath okay and filled a cup with water. he then got a damp cloth and gently wiped it across her forehead.

Marias eyes opened, and she tried to sit up, but dodn't have the strength.

Virgil placed a gentle hand on her shoulder to hold her down.

Maria struggled again, but wealy. "I'm fine" She protested again. She obviously wasn't.

"Yes, of course, that is why you just collapsed," Virgil said softly as he offered her the glass of water.

She pushed it away, and tryed to sit up again. "I just..." She tried to come up with an excuse

Virgil held her down gently. "Stop trying to say nothing is wrong. You can barely move you are so weak."

"I..." Maria started, then gave up, and lay still.

"What is wrong?" Virgil asked softly, "Why are you so weak?"

Mria turned her head away. "No reason"
