I Don't See The Point

Virgil wasn't in a particularly good mood as he slipped into his seat next to his roommate Edward, which meant that he wasn't seeing the point in many things.

Especially their English lesson.

Or him liking Edward when Edward liked George.

Or Edward liking George when George was straight.

Or Cynthia debating with their English teacher about there being no point to this lesson.

There were many pointless things going on today.

Virgil sighed as he got out his book, ready to write down more pointless things

Edward was descreetly drawing in the back of his book, grinning as he listened to Cynthia and the teacher

Virgil looked to Edward.

"Why does she argue with the teacher every lesson? It is pointless."

" I don't know. If she was going argue, why'd she take English" He looked closely at Virgil. "You alright?"

"i think she needs it to be a lawyer, and sort of. Why did you ask? Am I acting strange or somehthing?!

"Well, shell make a good lawyer. You looked slightly annoyed, and are wondering about the pointlessness of things"

"And? Everything is so pointless right now."

"You're not always like this. Why's everything so pointless?"

"Because they have no point to them."

Cynthia came over and sat in her place on the other side of Edward, "Hey. What you two talking about?"

"What doesn'?"
"I'm trying to find out why everythings so pointless" Edward explained to Cynthia.

"Anything."

"Ohhh, is he in one of his pointless moods?"

"Anything or evrything?"

"Yes he is"

"Both."

"Okay, do you know why?" Cynthia asked as she got her books out.

"Just give me a few?"

"That's what I'm trying to find out"

"Having crushes on people, this lesson, life in general, this conversation, falling in love, having crushes on people."

"You do not seem to be getting very far..."

"You have a crush on someone? Who"

"I think I've just made a bit more progress"

"It is a pointless crush and so therefore pointless in telling you."

"I think that it was unwise of you to ask that Edward, but at leat he's using connectives."

Edward looked at him strangely, then turned to Cynthia

"Why, but yeah it is and improvement"

"Because that person has a crush on someone else," Cynthia said softly.

Virgil buried his head in his hands.

"So you know who it is? Who? Why don' they like him? Who wouldn't like him like that if they liked people like that?"

"Stop making no sense," Virgil moaned, raising his head. "it is pointless."

"I'm not making no sense, I'm making perfect sense, I can see sense in what I'm saying"

"Whether you are making sense or whether you are making no sense, the sense of the purpose is still pointless."

"Wow, his sentences are getting longer," Cynthina observed, watching the two of them.

"Riiight. You say I'm making no sense, but to me I'm making sense. You are the one making no sense, so please start making sense before even what I say makes no sense"

"You are making sense, I am making no sense, you are making no sense, I am making sense, we are both making sensee we are both making no sense, the purpose is pointless meaning that therefore anything making sense makes no sense and anything making no sense makes sense, maning that everything is pointless."

Cynthia was no just staring at the two of them.
