World revolves around poetry

Saphy had fallen into a light doze, her head on Kenneth's shoulder.

Kenneth smiled. "You still want me to read to you?"

She nodded, rubbing her eyes.

"Okay...Cinderella..." he turned to the page.

Saphy was asleep very soundly.

Kenneth realised and sighed, closing the book.

Saphy was asleep, head on his shoulder.

Kenneth slipped the book into her lap and put his arm around her.

Saphy mumbled something bit didn;t stir.

Kenneth smiled.

Saphy hadn't slept for a while. There were dark circles ringing her eyes.

Kenneth stroked her hair.

Saphy lay like that for a long time.

Kenneth sat with her.

Saphy slid sideways while she was asleep, and she woke up with her head in Kenneth's lap.

Kenneth was still stroking her hair.

Saphy opened her eyes, and blushed straight away, sitting up straight and stammering.

Kenneth smiled. "Calm down."

"I fell asleep in your lap! Oh no, I'm so sorry..."

"It's okay."

Saphy was blushing scarlet. She stood up and pushed her glasses straight.
"I-I-I have to go," she stammered.

Kenneth looked upset. "Oh...okay...Wait! The book!

Saphy blushed.
"No... keep it."

"Read it. Please."

Saphy hesitated, then nodded and took it.
