Improvising

Simon wanted to be able to play over her like this, hands brushing against each others but knew it wouldn't sound the same if he sat down.

Chardonnay felt a little tingle every time their skin touched. She was worried she was about to play a wrong note at any minute, but knew she couldn't play well when she was tense.

Simon really hoped she didn't mind he was so close to her like this.

Chardonnay rather liked it. It was... well, it might have acounted for the emotion in her music. Shy but confident, and entranced.

Simon could smell her. She smelt good.

Chardonnay resisted the temptation to tip her head back and look at Simon's face. Instead, she kept playing the music, feleing it change and evolve and mature.

Simon smiled softly, playing it with more emotion.

Chardonnay felt her heartbeat speed up. Greta. She ahd a crush on this guy and they'd only just met!

"I'm Simon Marlow by the way..." he purred into her ear, crescendoing in emotion.

"I know, you said, Mr Marlow," Chardonnay replied softly, feeling ehr ears go pink. Her own hands were playing with more feeling too.

"I didn't remember if I told you my surname or not..." Simon said, voice husky, hands overlapping onto hers for a long moment.

"You didn't," Chardonnay said. "But I'm glad that you have done now."

Chardonnay wanted to stop playing and lace her fimgers through Simon's, but it didn't feel right. She ahd to keep playing, until the music nwas done. It was a crime to kill the music. It was getting rather more unrestrained, hopeful and passionate. Chardonnay's music was always passionate.

Simon sort of pressed his lips and face into her neck, not quite kissing her, just smelling her as he played.

Chardonnay didn;t realise. She turned her head slightly, accidentally, and felt their lips brush.

Simon's eyes were caught in hers, but he continued to play.

Chardonnay was a bit shocked. Oops! She'd onyl just met him! And - well, kissing him felt... right. Her hands were still moving too, judging notes elegantly.

Simon wasn't sure if this was a kiss or an accidental collision.

Chardonnay rather wanted it to be a kiss. Why hadn't she moved?! Stupid, stupid, stupid...

Simon was waiting for her to do something. He was too confused.

Hell, Chardonnay decided, the worse that would happen was that he didn't like her. And so she took off her left hand and very gently placed it around Simon's neck, starting to kiss him softly.

Chardonnay kept playing the melody with her right hand, feeling it change and become gentler, more romantic. Excited. Matching her mood.

Simon's left hand kept the chords in balance as he kissed her a little deeper.

Chardonnay was incapable of making any noise, but changed the melody subtly. Shock, and pleasure.
