Back from Science

"Is it in your bedside table?" Tom asked, worried.

Jeremiah nodded, eyes still closed, still coughing deeply. It was, along with a number of notebooks and private things.

Tom left quickly, grabbing the inhaler, closing the draw. He'd barely looked.

Tom brought the inhaler to him.

Jeremiah took it from him and took off the cap, trying to straighten up, his eyes still closed. He took two puffs, then lowering his inhaler.

Tom watched, seriously worried.

Jeremiah knew it would take some minutes for the drug to start working.

Tom slowly stroked his back.

Jeremiah still had his eyes shut and was coughing still, but the coughs weren't as deep.

Tom stroked his hand through Jeremiah's hair, not quite realising he was doing it.

Jeremiah could feel his lungs loosen.

Tom stroked his neck, not really realising he was doing this.

Jeremiah's eyes opened. He was now breathing heavily with a slight wheeze and an occasional cough.

Tom suddenly snapped back to reality and moved his hand away.

Jeremiah coughed several times. Bad coughs.

Tom's hand went back to stroke Jeremiah's hair.

Jeremiah's eyes closed and his breath started to level again.

Tom blushed slightly. Jeremiah had nice hair.

Slowly, his breathing leveled out and came back to normal.

Tom slowly withdrew his hand.

Jeremiah opened his eyes and looked to Tom, "THank you..."

Tom nodded and blushing, shrugging and turning to look away. "No problem."

"No. Really..." Jeremiah said, reaching out a hand and touching Tom's cheek. "Thank you," he said softly before leaning in and gently kissing.

Then he pulled back and turned to leave, but hesitated, looking back at Tom.

Tom pulled Jeremiah back, kissing him.

Jeremiah hestitated, but then kissed back.
