Feeling a little abandoned...

Philip blushed.

"You know that Eva and Mikey are engaged?"

"I know. It's a bit scary."

"It's adorable...but...father says...he might be betrothing me soon..." Maggie looked really sad.

"I'm... I'm sure you'll get someone really nice... who will take good care of you."

Maggie found herself be tearful. So, Philip didn't care.

"I... I don;t want you to be betrothed... to someone else," Philip said sadly. "I don't want... that."

"I don't either..."

"We could... r-run away..."

Maggie blinked. "Are you serious?"

"It - uh, it's a th-thought."

"It's a good one..."

Phil blushed.

Maggie kissed his cheek.

Philip was feeling self-conscious.

Maggie smiled.

Phil smiled back slightly.

"I like it when you smile..."

"Thanks..."

"You're welcome..."

Phil blushed.

Maggie smiled. "We'll see what happens..."

"Okay. Uh, the present?"
