Hurt. And lonely

Chanel sighed. She missed not having a casual fling, someone to wrap around her little finger and entice. Someone to pretend to love, even just for a few minutes, to make her pretend that she herself felt loved.

She didn;t care about the kisses or the sex. She cared about being held, feeling loved. Not feeling so lonely any more. It was a concept Coco had never understood, but it was the only thing that had worked for Chanel.

Robert was leaning against a tree, then he sat down, sighing, He was here for Christmas. Not with family. Ha! What family?!

Chanel put her hands in ehr pockets and kicked some loose gravel. It went skittering around.

Robert groaned. Great, someone was here to make his life misery, probably tease him.

Chanel moved into his view. She looked moody, but more than that, sad.

Robert blinked. Chanel. "Hey." Oops. He meant to think that.

Chanel looked up.

"Hi," she said, her voice sounding defensive. As always. her eyes suddenly burned with suspicion.

Robert nodded. "How are you?" he asked gently.

"Fine," Chanel said. "And you?"

"P*ssed off...but I'll live..."

"What's up?" Chanel asked, walking over and jumping onto the back of the bench. She walked along itm did a turn at the end, and walked back.

"My...grandpa doesn't want me back for Christmas...he's going off with his new family..."

"Ouch. Very pissy-offy."

"Yeah..." Robert groaned darkly.

Chanel didn;t mention that his problems were alien to her. She jumped off the back of the bench, landing neatly.

"So...what are you doing for christmas?"

"Nothing."

"Are you staying here?"

She nodded, with a shrug.

Robert nodded, looking down. She couldn't care less about talking to him.

"So, you mopin' about anything else?"

"No..." Robert sighed. He couldn't exactly tell her, could he?

"Liar," she said, looking at a tree nearby and deciding to climb it.

"I...I'm moping because...I can tell you're only talking to me to amuse me...you don't really care..."

"I don;t care about anyone except Coco. That's no reason to be mopey."
