"Maybe we should go to the nurse..." Maggie said gently.

Philip blushed.

"It just...makes me laugh how innocent they both are..."

"I miss the days when I was that innocent..."

"Really? I don't..." Michael said bitterly. She regretted it then?

Maggie smiled. "It's slowing down!"

"I miss being nine."

Philip blushed.
"Th-thanks..."

"Right...well, they're not nine..."

Maggie smiled, "No problem!"

"Yeah, but that was how I acted then."

Philip blushed.
"No, really - really, t-thanks..."

Maggie blushed a little. "Y-you're welcome."

"I would suggest hooking up again tonight, but I'm not sure you'd accept," Evangeline said jokingly.

Philip blushed again.

Michael rolled his eyes.

Maggie concentrated hard on his nose.

Philip was feeling self-conscious.

Evangeline smirked, amused.

Michael walked on.

Maggie smiled.

Evangeline walked next to him, thinking.

Michael sighed, kicking a stone as he walked.

"Damn, a puddle."

Michael raised an eyebrow.

Evangeline raised one in return. "It's a pretty big puddle," she pointed out. "You know, with it being the lake any everything..."

"Why are you so weird?" Michael asked, sitting down on the nearest bench.

Evangeline jerked her thumb at the lake.
"You weren't looking where you were going."

"That'd be depressing. I don;t have anything to wear to the funeral."
