Singing....don't listen.

Coco only sang in private, because of her lisp. She'd told Chanel she was in the library studying. It was too embarrassing to admit she was singing.

She placed her hands on the keys. She started to play A Thousand Miles, soon singing.

Chardonnay raised her hand to the knob, then stopped. Someone was singing. Very well!

Coco was playing piano a little dodgily though. She'd taught herself the accompaniment by ear.

Chardonnay knocked softly on the door.

Coco jumped, bashing her hand on the piano. Her heart was thumping hard against her chest.

"Ye-yesh?"

"Hello?" Chardonnay said. "Um, I just wanted to say I think you have a really nice voice..."

Coco blushed but felt angry. Why did people always tease her?! She didn't reply.

"Um, can I come in?" Chardonnay asked, totally oblivious.

Coco felt tears spring to her eyes. No!

"Okay, I won't... I really mean it, by the way. You sing really nicely," Chardonnay said. Then, "My name is Chard."

Coco was too nervous of her lisp to answer.

Chardonnay stayed quiet, leaning lightly on the door.

Coco wiped away her tears.

Chardonnay sighed softly.

Coco was just scared.

"Okay. Well, maybe another time then..."

Coco started playing A thousand miles softly.

Chardonnay sighed, and left. Was she really that horrible?

Coco stopped, hands shaking.
