Disagreeing

"I grew up in a council estate..."

Chanel didn't answer. She decided not to mention her upbringing.

"Look, I may not have it as bad as you but don't doubt that i've had it hard..."

"Oh, wow, poor you. I'll have to arrange you a trophy," Chanel said mockingly, feeling her arms start to ache. She pulled Coco back higher into her arms.

Robert shook his head. "You're begging for an argument...but I won't argue with you..."

"I don't argue, I win," Chanel said flatly, and her arms buckled slightly.

Robert reached over, lighting taking Coco from Chanel.

Chanel's arms were locked around Coco tightly. She glowered at him.

"My sister."

"Look, you buckled. I promise I won't hurt her..."

"I don't trust you."

"Do you trust yourself not to drop her?"

"She won't blame me if I do."

"Really? She could crack her head open..."

"She wouldn't want to be carried by a stranger," Chanel said.

"You don't have to tell her."

"I don't lie to my sister," Chanel said bluntly. Well, not most of the time.

"Please let me help!"

"Open the doors then."

Robert rolled his eyes. "Yeah..."

Chanel was fuming inside.

Robert held open the next set of doors.

Chanel moved through them, gritting her teeth and making sure she didn;t drop her twin.

It was a good job they were nearly there.

Chanel was resilient, and tough. She would have managed it alone.

Robert liked helping.
