"I'd get worried about you ogling me, especially with me in just my thong."

"Oh! You're teasing me now!" Michael pouted.

"I'm serious. That's how I sunbathe. Thongs and a pair of sunglasses."

"Let me join you next time!"

"That won't be till next summer, so a good nine months."

"Ooh! We could have a baby in that time!"

"Hell no. I don't want to be a teenage mum."

"Oh...but we'd make beautiful babies together..."

"Ask again in ten years and you might get a different answer."

"Ooh..." Michael grinned.

"That's not a promise, mind."

"Damn!"

Eva was amused.

"I'll put you on my list of people I would consider mating with. You're number thirty-seven."

"Who's at number one?"

"That would be telling," Evangeline said, smiling.

Michael shrugged. "I'm used to be low on lists...we should get a move on..."

"Don't worry, there are about two hundred people on it. You're doing fairly well."

"Mm...I'm sure I am..." Michael said. He couldn't care less. He turned to the door.

Evangeline followed, a little put out.

Michael opened the door, holding it open for her.

Evangeline moved through it.

"Thanks," she smiled.

Michael nodded.

She was still swaggering a little. Her predator walk.

Michael had lost interest. No longer prey.

Evangeline wasn't exactly an innocent lamb to prey on. She was more the alpha gazelle - harder to catch, but worth it.
