Sewing Sequins

Lauren sat in the corner, a black dress over her lap and a sewing box beside her on the table next to her. she was carefully sowing little black sequins onto the dress. The beautiful dress.

Simon came in, looking grumpy.

Lauren carefully finished sewing one sequin and cut the thread, moving onto the next one.

"Hey..." Simon said, face melting into a soft smile.

Lauren looked up at him and blushed lightly, smiling shyly back, "Hello..."

Simon sat next to her. "How are you?"

"I-I am fine...thank you..." Lauren blushed, but smiled, "H-how about you?"

"Knackered...stressed...frustrated..."

Lauren had her hands still in her lap. "W-why? wh-what is wrong?"

"Just...lots of work...then this show we're putting on at Christmas..."

Lauren nodded, "I-I saw part of it, y-you guys are really good..."

"Thanks...I'm just stressed...I hate Christmas time..."

Lauren nodded, understanding.

Simon slouched, running a hand through his hair.

Lauren started ewing again, but kept watching Simon out of the corner of her eye, her hands knowing what to do.

Simon's head went back, looking up at the ceiling.

Lauren kept sewing, a light blush tinting her cheeks.

"So, what you sewing?"

"A-a dress..." Lauren smiled shyly, loking up to him for a second.

"What for?" He smiled, genuinely interested.

"W-well...I was making it for Chelsea...but when she saw it-it, she said that it was excellant and that I should keep it for myself to wear and n-not give it to her..."

"She's right...it's gorgeous..." Simon reached out and touched it gently.

Lauren blushed, "Th-thank you..."

SImon smiled. "No problem."

Lauren gave a shy smile, then looking down.
