A Special Day

Brooklyn stroked a hand through his hair and then tied it up like normal. It was about half ten on a Saturday, and a rather special one for Brooklyn. The first day of him being an adult. His family had wanted to spend it with him, but he had said he was busy, wanting to be with fergal instead. He grabbed his bag, slipping it over his shoulder, slipping on a jacket and then went to his boyfriend's room, knocking on his door, hoping he was in.

Fergal answered the door groggily in his boxers and a t-shirt, blinking up at Brooklyn before blushing. "Oh, hey..."

"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" Brooklyn asked softly.

Fergal smiled softly, pulling him into the room. "it's fine, I needed to get up anyway."

Brooklyn smiled, leaning down and lightly kissing him, then pulling back, "How are you?"

Fergal smiled. "I'm good..." he pushed Brooklyn so he was sitting down on the bed before bringing out an envelope. "Happy birthday..." he smiled, passing them to him.

Brooklyn smiled, taking the envelope with one hand, and Fergal's hand with his other hand, gently pulling Fergal onto the bed next to him, kissing his cheek softly. "Thank you," he smiled, then opening the envelope.

Fergal bit his lip nervously. It was a simple card, nothing too much with it written simply inside but there was a slip of paper. It was a sort of I O U (I owe you). It read:

I don't know what to get you but I thought it would be nice to go somewhere. So, if it's the cinema or a show or a concert or anything, let me know so I can book it.

Fergal brought out a box of chocolates and handed them to Brooklyn too. "And those."

Brooklyn took them with a smile, then gently kissed Fergal.

Fergal blushed, kissing back as gently.

Brooklyn kept kissing for a few moments and then pulled back, smiling, "I was actually going to suggest that we go out somewhere today."

"Sure!" Fergal smiled. "I could treat you! Where do you want to go?!"

"Hmm...I'll have to think about it," Brooklyn smiled, "As I was planning to ask you where you wanted to go."

"But it's your birthday!"

"I said I'll think about where I want to go," Brooklyn smiled, kissing Fergal's cheek

"Can I go have a shower then?"

"Yeah, I'll wait here."

"Okay!" Fergal jumped up, going to the bathroom.

Brooklyn smiled, watching him leave, then slipping a notebook and pen out of his pocket and starting to sketch.

Fergal came back out ten minutes later in just a towel.

Brooklyn looked up at him and smiled, then continuing with his sketch.

Fergal was feeling a little self-concious at how naked he was as he got clothes out.

Brooklyn just kept sketching lightly.

Fergal was trying to find his red top.

Brooklyn was smiling as he sketched.
