Night-Time Wander

It was dark as silent throughout the school at one o'clock in the morning apart the quiet sound of soft footsteps walking though the corridor along the boys dormitories.

The figure had one hand one the wall as he walked, his hand just moving aling the wall. His eyes were closed, his face calm and peaceful, his head tilted ever so slightly, and slightly forwards. He was dressed only in night clothes, and had no footwear of any kind on. Not good for a cold winter night.

As he walked through dim light given by a light on the ceiling, his face was lit up, his blonde hair that was normally spiked was instead flat and slightly ruffled, and although it didn't look like he himself was reacting to the cold, the edges of his fingers were; beginning to go white.

Althea walked through the corridors at night muttering to herself. She was holding a torch and wearing her fluffy white dressing gown, pondering.

The boy just kept walking slowly along in the same manner.

Althea wasn't looking where she was going. She was grumbling.

The boy was silent, eyes closed.

Althea proceeded to walk into him.

He stumbled back, almost falling, but not quite. Other than that, he didn't react.

"Sorry!" the girl said, swinging round ehr torch.

The boy didn't respond, eyes still closed, head slightly tilted and slightly forwards and droopy. He just swayed a bit.

The girl frowned. Althea was tempted to punch the boy.

He started walking again, slow steps, his breathing even and gentle.

"So, do you have a name?" Althea asked, her voice echoing.

He didn't respond. In a way, he looked asleep.

Althea rolled her eyes, then wondered if he was a sleep-walker.

He just carried on walking slowly down the corridor, hand on the wall, ends of his fingers and toes going white.

Althea followed him, curious.

He reached the stairs.

Althea shone the light around.

Eyes still closed, he proceeded to walk in the same fashion down the stairs.

Althes was surprised he didn't fall.

He did stumble one or two times, but managed to get halfway down without falling. About seven steps from the bottom, his foot slipped, and he slid down to the bottom of the stairs.

Althea rushed to his side.

He was still, head lolled to the side, lips slightly parted. After a few moments, he started to move again, slowly standing up, eyes still closed.

"You alright?" she asked shyly.

Once again no response, though his breathing was a bit uneven. He started to walk again, still looking like he was asleep.
