Shooting to let out Stress

"PULL!" Virgil shouted, raising his shotgun and shouting the two clays as they appeared, reducing both to dust.

That made a perfect ten.

He cocked his gun and put the two empty catridges in the barrel and stepped back from the stand, smiling at Edward, and moving his ear defenders.

"Which stand shall we go to next?"

"Don't know" Edward said rubbing his shoulder. "Whatevers easiest. Are you sure this is the right gun for me"

Virgil smiled and put his gun away, then taking Edward;'s from him and leading him to the stand. "You may just be mounting it wrong."

He closed the gun, "Get into postion and mount the gung as if you were about to shoot."

Edward di so, placing the gun on his shoulder, quite far away from his neck.

Virgil stepped behind him, changing the position of the gun, moving it a bit closer to Edward neck and down a bit, also moving Edward's left hand closer to his right. Then he turned Edward so he was more sideways and moved his head into the right position.

"There, that's how you should mount it. If you manage to do it like that, your shoulder won't hurt so much. Try that and see how it goes and when we get back to the range we'll have a look at some other guns."

Edward just nodded, frowing with concentration.

"Shall we go the learning stand and you can practice mounting?"

"Well, I don't want tp make you go there. You obviously don't need to"

Virgil gave a smile, "Practice makes perfect, and besides, who else will make sure you are mounting properly?"

Edward smiled at him. "Alright then"

virgil smiled back, taking the gun from him, cocking it, and putting it back in it's case for Edward.

Edward smiled, wanting to help, but didn't want to break anything"

Virgil held the gun case out to him, completely zipped up and done.

"Thanks" Edward said, smiling as he took it.

Virgil smiled and picked up his own, slinging it over his shoulder and then picking up the cartridge case they were both using, putting that over his shoulder as well.

"I should take mine" Edward said.

"there is only one case," Virgil smiled, "I am fine carrying it." he started to lead the way to the learning stand.

Edward just sighed, and followed.

Virgil heard the sigh and felt sad.

Edward began thinking about things as they walked. Like George.

They reached the stand and Virgil put the ammo case and his gun case down.

Edward, hadn't noticed, and almost walked into Virgil.

Virgil didn't particularly notice that and got a box of cartridges out of the bag.

Edward put down the gun case, adn unzipped it, but had no idea how to get it out safely.

Virgil stodd up, puttin gthe box on the side and getting the gun out slowly so that Edward could see how, cocking it as soon as he had got it out of the case, barrel pointing to the ground.
