A Few Days Before Christmas

Fergal laughed softly, stretching.

Zachary smiled, watching him.

Fergal grinned. "It's great to have your company..."

"I knew that a few others had stayed, but I haven't really seen anyone around, I thought that I was alone, I'm glad i'm not," Zachary smiled.

"Same..."

Zachary nodded, inside really happy that Fergal was happy that he was with him.

Fergal yawned.

"We...never really talked before..." Zachary said, blushing very lightly, "What sort of things do you like?"

Fergal tilted his head. "Normal things. You?"

"No I...uh...never mind..." he said, shaking his head, blushing, "I'm sorry..."

Fergal blinked. "Why are you apologising?"

Zachary closed his eyes, leaning back in his seat, then opening his eyes, "Not sure...for being an idiot and hopeless?"

Fergal looked confused. "You're not an idiot...or hopeless..."

"Useless...a failure..." Zachary said quietly, looking away. "That's what I've been most my life..."

Fergal frowned. "No!"

Zachary shrugged, "I've always been told that. By everyone except a few of my friends," he then looked at Fergal, smiling, "I'm sorry, i didn't mean to lay my problems on you like that."

Fergal ruffled his hair. "Don't sweat it."

Zachary blushed very lightly, smiling.

Fergal looked at Zachary.

Zachary looked back and then his eyes looked down.

Fergal sneezed.

Zachary suddenly remembered that Fargal sneezed when plants were around.

Fergal apologised.

Zachary smiled and said it was fine.

Fergal ruffled his hair.
